We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Rank Group's Grosvenor Casino in Birmingham Hill Street. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management and operation of the kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in the planning, preparation, and presentation of menus and dishes
  • Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective service
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the customer experience
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create a positive and productive kitchen environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

  • Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene certification as a minimum
  • Previous experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a fast-paced casino environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
