Inclusion and Belonging Coordinator

The Commonwealth of Virginia is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that supports student development and engagement. We are seeking an Inclusion and Belonging Coordinator to join our Residential Well-being team. This role is pivotal in promoting cultural awareness and creating a sense of community among students.
As a key member of our team, you will engage with residential students through programs and initiatives that enhance cultural competency, encourage inclusivity, and promote effective advocacy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Collaborate with the Residential Well-being team to cultivate residential communities that prioritize belonging, personal growth, and meaningful engagement.
- Report directly to the Managing Director of Residential Well-being and the Chief Inclusion & Belonging Officer.
- Develop and implement programs that facilitate relationship-building, skill development, and appreciation for diversity within the student body.
- Lead a team of 15-25 Residential Well-being Student Leaders focused on fostering inclusion and belonging in residence halls.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and advance within the organization.
- Offer a competitive salary package ranging from $44,000 to $52,000, including benefits such as health insurance, paid leave, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate adaptability.
- Creative approach to program design and execution.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience with diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
- Proven ability to respond effectively to challenges.
- Experience in educational settings with student engagement.
