Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and reconciling assigned general ledger accounts of a complex nature, processing complex accounting activity, resolving variances, and documenting procedures to ensure accuracy of accounting information and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares daily and monthly account reconciliations of a complex nature, ensuring work conforms to all contract/business regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Maintains the General Ledger, processes journal entries, and generates financial reports.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and verifies complex accounting and system transactions, identifying and resolving variances.
  • Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in accordance with internal procedures and established timelines.
  • Completes assigned reports in accordance with established due dates and produces management reports for cost behavior, trends, variances, and other pertinent information.
  • Reconciles General Ledger accounts and processes adjusting entries in accordance with internal procedures, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
  • May maintain current work instructions for all activities in the area and reviews departmental policies, procedures, and forms to identify areas of potential improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a job-related field with 24 semester hours in accounting.
  • 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Microsoft Office and data retrieval applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of system administration.
  • Knowledge of EAS system.
  • Solid experience with the reconciliation process.
  • Experience in preparation of financial statements.
  • Invoicing.
