About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Archaeology Consultant to join our team at ERM. As a key member of our Cultural Resources Services team, you will be responsible for conducting research and writing for cultural resource heritage components of environmental impact assessments and other documents for private and government sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct literature reviews and field surveys to identify and assess cultural resources.
  • Develop and implement research plans to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Lead and supervise staff in an office setting and/or during fieldwork.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure ongoing business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in cultural resource management, including experience with environmental impact assessments and other regulatory processes.
  • Strong knowledge of California and Great Basin cultural areas.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) certification.
  • Experience with mapping equipment and other special application equipment.
  • Previous laboratory materials processing experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
