Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer II - Structure & Bridge Design professional to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex design of steel piles and steel connections.
  • Perform routine and complex design of cast-in-place concrete slabs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of general renewable energy concepts.
  • Assist with the development of project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers to oversee project tasks and timelines.
  • Contribute to marketing and proposal development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in structure and/or bridge design is necessary.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in structural design software packages, including LPile, Mathcad, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for plan development and Excel/AutoCAD interoperability for creating pile plot plans.
