Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Coordinator I to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Patient Care Coordinator I, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to patients and families in the Medical-Surgical unit.

Job Description

As a Patient Care Coordinator I, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct patient care and support to patients and families

• Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding

• Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes to nursing staff

• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Current Basic Life Support Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience as a patient care assistant or certified nursing assistant

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
