The role involves the fabrication of specific aircraft components within the workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate both primary and secondary structural elements utilizing sheet metal machinery.
  • Ensure tools are maintained in optimal condition while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Document work performed and complete necessary training programs.
  • Execute assigned tasks and offer training to colleagues as required.

Job Requirements:

Must be skilled in operating machine shop equipment, interpreting blueprints, and working with various metals. Familiarity with aircraft manuals and relevant procedures is essential.

Work Environment:

This position operates under general supervision, allowing for some discretion in decision-making. Strong interpersonal skills are vital for effective communication with team members.

Physical Demands:

The role requires the ability to navigate around aircraft sections, lift heavy materials, and stand for prolonged periods. Mental agility and the capacity to manage stress are crucial.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a machinist role.
