Field Engineer - Construction and Engineering

Higher Recruitment, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Engineer to support our field teams on challenging projects in the Southwest. This includes groundbreaking work in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, semiconductor, and data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers and Field Superintendents to support project field operations, including safety and quality.
  • Survey and layout to support quality and accurate installations, including lift drawings.
  • Participate in project-specific quality control programs.
  • Attend daily and weekly project meetings.
  • Ensure Field Superintendents and Foremen have access to current Contract Documents.
  • Report field issues to the Project Engineer and Field Superintendent.
  • Track and report weekly quantities of installed materials and equipment.
  • Manage equipment and material storage and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate record drawings and as-builts.
  • Maintain permit documents.
  • Gather weekly project progress photos.
  • Train and mentor Interns and new Field Engineers.
Requirements
  • Ability to assume responsibility and effectively communicate with others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Positive and teachable attitude.
  • A desire to learn and grow in the construction field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Military experience in a construction, building, engineering, or mechanical Military Occupational Speciality.

Military Occupational Specialities that may be a fit: 12N - Horizontal Construction Engineer, 12B Combat Engineer, 12W Carpentry and Masonry Specialist, 12T - Technical Engineer, Navy Seabees, Boatswain's Mate.
