About the Position:

InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in the Literature & Languages department. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and contributing to the academic excellence of our institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach up to seven semester credit hours within the required discipline, including on-campus, off-campus, and online courses.
  • Develop and manage the class syllabus, ensuring it meets department and college standards.
  • Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments that promote student learning and engagement.
  • Assess student grades based on participation, performance, assignments, and examinations.
  • Provide academic support and mentorship to students as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department or college.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field is required to teach undergraduate courses, or a terminal degree in the field of study or closely related is required to teach graduate courses.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials.
  • College or University teaching experience.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence.
  • Prior relevant industry experience.
  • Online or hybrid teaching experience.
