Position Summary

The Warehouse Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating and coordinating warehouse and distribution operations in alignment with organizational protocols. This position reports directly to the Regional Service Manager and operates without direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicits quotes for transportation as required and verifies shipping dates.
  • Organizes or oversees the pickup, delivery, or distribution of materials.
  • Provides routing details to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Addresses inquiries from customers or shippers regarding services.
  • Monitors shipments during transit and expedites orders as necessary.
  • Demonstrates the ability to coordinate production, inventory, and procurement.
  • Implements warehouse safety and security protocols.
  • Inspects the physical condition of incoming products and evaluates warehouse facilities, vehicles, or equipment, scheduling maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Adheres to established standards and procedures for receiving, handling, storing, and shipping products.
  • Implements plans for adjustments in space allocation.
  • Receives and charges batteries as required, monitors charging times, repackages, and inspects batteries as necessary.
  • Orders shipping and warehouse supplies as needed.
  • Conducts vehicle inspections according to scheduled guidelines.
  • Responsible for the stocking and rotation of warehouse inventory.
  • Handles loading and unloading of company delivery vehicles.
  • Provides forklift and labor support to delivery personnel and colleagues.
  • Maintains daily cleanliness routines and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Performance Metrics:

  • Performance is evaluated through a scorecard reflecting metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding, Accounts Receivable Turnover, and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolves client billing issues effectively.
  • Management observations regarding attitude, diligence, teamwork, and the willingness to acquire new skills.
  • Additional performance metrics as determined by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to organize work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and needs.
