About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Psychologist to join our team at Broughton Hospital in North Carolina. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with severe, persistent mental illness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a full array of psychological services to inpatient adults, including individual and group psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and individualized treatment and behavioral planning.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the complex needs of patients with co-occurring substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, neurocognitive, and characterological disorders.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective outcomes.
  • Participate as faculty in the APA-accredited internship program and provide training and supervision to students and staff psychologists.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270) and two years of professional psychological experience, one of which must be postdoctoral.
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments, providing clinical treatment/interventions, and providing clinical supervision to staff psychologists and trainees.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program development and positive systems development.
