MobilizeGreen is an organization committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Justice Advocate Intern to join our team.

Job Summary

We are launching the Building Capacity, Careers, & Community Internship Initiative, a cohort intern program that partners with nonprofits and other organizations to place college-level students in short-term, project-based virtual internships in communities across the country.

About the Role
  • This is a paid virtual internship requiring an 8-week commitment, either full-time or part-time depending on the cohort session.
  • Stipends range from $2,400 to $7,360 for the program, depending on academic level.
  • You will be paired with a nonprofit organization and gain real-world project-based learning, soft skills training, and career readiness development.
Main Responsibilities
  • Provide support to nonprofit partner organizations.
  • Complete project duties as assigned.
  • Meet all program deadlines.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and program evaluations.
Requirements
  • A rising college junior, senior, or graduate student with a demonstrated interest in or passion for nonprofit management, equity, and environmental justice.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with or ability to quickly learn information technology and database management systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Self-motivated, extremely organized, and comfortable working remotely while developing and building relationships.

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $52,000, based on a 40-hour workweek and considering the stipend amount.
