Ultrasound Technologist Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at an established acute-care hospital in Brownwood, Texas. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of internal anatomy, working closely with physicians and radiologists to review findings and enhance patient care plans.

Responsibilities:

* Patient Preparation: Position and prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, prioritizing their comfort and safety.
* Equipment Operation: Operate ultrasound machinery to capture high-quality images of internal anatomy.
* Schedule: Work three 12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Thursday through Saturday.
* Image Analysis: Assess and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnosing medical conditions and informing treatment plans.
* Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of patient history, procedures conducted, and diagnostic results.
* Collaboration: Work in conjunction with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to review findings and enhance patient care plans.
* Maintenance: Ensure ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and promptly report any issues.
* Patient Education: Clearly explain procedures to patients, address their inquiries, and provide follow-up care instructions.

Requirements:

* Graduate of accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
* 1 Year in Ultrasound.
* ARRT, or ARDMS.
* Provider basic cardiac life support.
* Texas Medical Board-MRT or ARDMS.
* Maintains professional appearance at all times.
* Ability to handle confidential information.
