Cardiac Sonographer Specialist

As a Cardiac Sonographer at Henry Ford Health System, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Under the direction of a cardiologist, you will perform diagnostic ultrasonic procedures to evaluate patients as prescribed by a physician. This position requires knowledge and use of highly specialized equipment.

• Perform diagnostic ultrasonic procedures to evaluate patients as prescribed by a physician.
• Operate highly specialized equipment to capture high-quality images.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac sonography and imaging technology.

• Completed requirements as a Cardiac Sonographer from an accredited program.
• Eligible to sit for Registered Cardiac Sonographer designation from a national accreditation board.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer in an established hospital non-invasive cardiac testing unit, preferred.

This position requires working in a patient care setting with occasional exposure to unpleasant patient care tasks. Daily interaction with family members and staff is expected. Extensive walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and other physical demands may be necessary.
