Job Summary and Qualifications
We are in search of a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist to provide expertise and drive results.
We are a dedicated team that works hard to support each other and are looking for a phenomenal addition who values the patient experience as much as we do.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary laboratory liaison for the facility trauma team.
- Coordinate all blood bank and laboratory diagnostic services to support facility trauma cases.
- Maintain current knowledge of external and internal quality indicators and standards, effectively communicating quality metrics to staff.
- Report any identified quality issues and quality control procedures throughout the laboratory.
- Analyze proficiency testing samples and perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.
- Assume responsibility for the department as appropriate in the absence of the supervisor.
- Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolve any outstanding workload or communicate to staff relief.
- Receive daily shipments of blood products, check temperature, and compare the list against all blood product numbers.
Qualifications:
- A 4-Year/Bachelor Degree, with a concentration in Medical Technology preferred.
- A State of Florida Technologist License OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience.
