Key Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a Lead Medical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing expertise and driving results. We are looking for someone who values the patient experience as much as we do.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Acting as the primary laboratory liaison for the facility's trauma team.
Coordinating all blood bank and laboratory diagnostic services to support trauma cases.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of quality indicators and standards, effectively communicating quality metrics to staff.
Reporting any identified quality issues and overseeing quality control procedures throughout the laboratory.
Analyzing proficiency testing samples and executing stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.
Assuming departmental responsibilities as needed in the absence of the supervisor.
Reviewing pending logs and result logs; addressing any outstanding workload or communicating with staff for relief.
Receiving daily shipments of blood products, verifying temperature, and ensuring accuracy against product lists.
Qualifications Required:
A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field is preferred.
A State of Florida Technologist License or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
