We are looking for dedicated critical care nurses who are eager to join a team that is setting new benchmarks in nursing excellence. We are committed to establishing a new standard of care for all patients.


This position is for a Full-Time Registered Nurse, working 36 hours per week on the Nightshift.

The Registered Nurse in Acute Care will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care, having gained extensive experience in patient management. This role requires a deep understanding of the specific needs of our patient population, utilizing acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to adapt to evolving clinical situations.

This nursing professional will apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, personalizing care for each patient and their family while serving as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues and a strong advocate for patients and families.

Effective communication is essential; the RN will consistently engage with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to deliver safe, reliable, and effective care, independently utilizing the nursing process.

Demonstrated assessment skills are crucial, as well as the ability to recognize how nursing interventions impact patient outcomes. Accurate documentation of the nursing process in the appropriate formats (e.g., electronic records, clinical pathways, charts) is required, along with the ability to plan and implement patient care autonomously.

Incorporating patient and family input into care planning is vital, as is the effective management of time while integrating the AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice. The RN will also identify opportunities to revise policies and procedures based on evidence-based research.

Additionally, the RN will evaluate the effectiveness of patient care documentation.

Qualifications include a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or have recently completed a re-entry nursing program.


Note:

Individuals currently employed as an LPN within the Emory Healthcare system at the time of completing an accredited RN program and obtaining RN licensure may be eligible to transition to the Nurse Clinician title while participating in the Resident program.


Physical demands include lifting 20-35 lbs, with 34-66% of the workday requiring lifting 67-100% of the time. Close visual work (computers, typing, reading, writing) and exposure to biohazardous materials, chemicals, and electrical hazards are part of the role. Shift work and potential travel may be required, along with the use of personal protective equipment, including respirators.
