Position Overview


The Substation Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical substations and associated equipment.

This role involves working with various types of electrical systems and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.

Experience Level

While we are open to training candidates, prior experience with electrical systems is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation of electrical substations, ensuring efficient power distribution and reliability.
  • Prepare and review documentation related to substation operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather operational instructions and verify compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and systems, identifying any issues that require attention.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including checking and replenishing necessary fluids and conducting minor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work hours and equipment maintenance in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with relevant experience in electrical engineering or a related field.

NOTE:
We are willing to provide training; however, prior experience with electrical systems is preferred.

  • Must demonstrate a solid understanding of the skills and knowledge required for this position.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with team members and management.
  • Relevant experience in electrical engineering is a plus.
Requirements

  • Must meet all physical demands of the role.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the potential for overtime, night shifts, and weekend work as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and project regulations. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
