Occupational Therapy Assistants play a vital role in supporting occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic services to enhance patients' daily living skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills, fostering a supportive environment for growth and development.
  • Document patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist, ensuring accurate tracking and informed decision-making.
  • Maintain equipment and organize treatment areas, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and tools, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
Requirements:
  • An associate's degree from an accredited OTA program, demonstrating a strong foundation in occupational therapy principles.
  • National certification and state licensure as an occupational therapy assistant, showcasing expertise and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling effective collaboration and time management.
  • Compassion and commitment to patient care, prioritizing the well-being and dignity of each individual.
