Key Responsibilities
- Organizes and prepares a cleaning cart with necessary supplies, ensuring storerooms and carts are kept tidy and accessible.
- Maintains cleanliness by washing windows, doors, walls, and fixtures in guest rooms, public spaces, and corridors.
- Utilizes ladders or stools as needed to reach high areas for cleaning.
- Cleans bathrooms thoroughly, including shower walls, tubs, toilets, and sinks.
- Replenishes towels, soaps, and other room amenities, ensuring that all items meet hotel standards for incoming guests.
- Manually washes hard floor surfaces to eliminate dirt and stains.
- Dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures, including hard-to-reach areas like vents and ceiling corners.
- Strips beds of used linens and remakes them with fresh linens, checking for cleanliness of all bedding items.
- Ensures closets are clean and stocked with guest supplies such as hangers and extra linens.
- Vacuum all areas, including guest rooms and hallways, while moving furniture as necessary.
- Checks the functionality of door and window locks, reporting any security concerns to management.
- Inspects room amenities (TVs, lights, faucets) for proper operation and communicates any issues for prompt resolution.
- Safeguards equipment, keys, and supplies to protect hotel property.
- Maintains a positive and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Assists colleagues and other departments to support the overall success of the hotel.
Qualifications
- Ability to maneuver a fully loaded cleaning cart, weighing up to 50lbs, throughout the workday.
- Capability to bend and reach the floor multiple times during shifts.
- Prior experience in hospitality is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
