Plasma Center LPN

As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results. You will work closely with the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure that all medical and operational procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility through informed consent, medical history interviews, and physical examinations.
- Manage donor adverse events, including reactions and medical emergencies, in accordance with SOPs.
- Review laboratory test results, including Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE), to ensure donor safety.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and refer to EHS guidance as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
- Current licensure or certification as an LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
