Job Title: Certified Physician Assistant or APRN/Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Physician Assistant or APRN/Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology team at HealthPartners. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our clinicians to provide comprehensive care to patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess the health status of individuals/families and develop a plan of care through the use of Care Model Process
  • Prescribe a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, including medication, nutrition, exercise, and traditional medical treatments
  • Manage wellness and illness needs according to Riverway, HealthPartners, and ICSI guidelines
  • Teach and support positive self-care activities, including problem-solving and selection of treatment alternatives
  • Provide health care counseling and emotional support throughout care
  • Evaluate the process and outcome of management plan and modify the plan as appropriate
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other health professionals as appropriate
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited formal Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Master's required
  • Current Minnesota PA/APRN license
  • Current NCCPA or AANP certification
  • Approved or eligible for approval by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges
  • Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office products or similar applications
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with an electronic medical record
  • Current CPR certification
  • Active member in professional association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Gastroenterology: Minimum 1-year recent GI, Med-Surgical, or SICU experience
Physical Requirements:
  • No lifting requirements are identified but the potential for lifting exists
  • Adequate vision, hearing, and tactile motor skills
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently
