About the Role:

This entry-level position is ideal for those looking to learn and grow in a hands-on environment. As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician, you will primarily work outdoors, contributing to projects and ensuring safety and integrity.

Your hard work will be rewarded as you see projects come to life and gain valuable experience.

  • Reviewing plans specifications and Documentation: Understand project requirements before fieldwork; accurately record observations and testing results related to construction materials.
  • Utilizing Metafield: Utilize field and laboratory information management systems efficiently for data organization.
  • Equipment: Maintain accuracy of field and laboratory tools to meet industry standards.
  • Special Inspection observations: Adhere to International Building Code (IBC) standards for testing and inspecting construction materials.
  • Communicate with stakeholders: Engage with management, contractors, and clients to relay project progress and address concerns.
About You:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a High School diploma/GED and 0-2 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials.

Certifications such as American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Testing Grade I, Strength Testing Technician, Laboratory Technician, International Code Council (ICC) Special Inspector, and DOT Certifications are a plus.

You must have effective communication skills and math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure.

Proficiency in data entry into multiple software applications on a smart device, using Microsoft Office and email is required.
