The Manager collaborates closely with various departments including Actuarial Services, Sales, Marketing Communications, Claims, Billing Services, Enrollment Services, Health Management, Healthcare Networks, IT Development, Legal, and Pharmacy Benefit Management. Staying informed about the latest regulatory changes, product innovations, and technological advancements is crucial for this role.
Qualifications Overview
- Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years in Underwriting, Group Control, Financial Accounting, or Internal Audit is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on practical and cost-effective solutions.
- Skills in negotiation, persuasion, and customer service are valuable.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with insurance corporate systems, especially eGEMS, is highly preferred.
- Experience in business/data analysis and managing large-scale projects, including requirements gathering and functional design documentation, is advantageous.
- Experience in developing user acceptance testing scripts and leading system implementations is a plus.
- Background in Business Analysis/Project Management is desirable.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries is preferred.
- Experience with Tableau is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $145,236 total compensation. Benefits offered (subject to eligibility) include: Medical and pharmacy coverage, Dental and vision insurance, 401(k), Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Life Insurance, Pet Insurance, Short-term and Long-term Disability, Accident and Critical Illness coverage, Pre-paid legal and ID theft protection, Sick leave, and other paid leave options as required by law, along with an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
