Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Kansas Employer. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing infrastructure projects that benefit our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and inspect plans and specifications for compliance with relevant codes and engineering practices.
  • Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of storm water programs.
  • Prepare engineering estimates and feasibility reports for public works projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Kansas or ability to acquire within six months.
  • One year of design experience in civil engineering projects preferred.
  • Valid Kansas driver's license.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate exposure to traffic and construction hazards. You will be required to work inside and outside, with potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
