About the Role

Belay Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled Molecular Technologist to join our team in a clinical laboratory setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing clinical and research samples using cutting-edge technologies for nucleic acid analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately accession and process samples for testing, ensuring timely completion of training and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with pathologists to evaluate neoplastic content of samples as needed.
  • Perform nucleic acid purification and preparation for sequencing and PCR, adhering to established processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely operational metrics, updating associated process documentation and participating in continuous process improvements.
  • Conduct quality control of samples processed and data generated prior to sending to next steps.
  • Maintain auxiliary and capital equipment and instrumentation.
Development and Validation
  • Contribute to the development and validation of new methodologies, including establishing novel workflows and evaluating new instrumentation and protocols.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new and emerging applications and tools to improve current clinical offerings and support new clinical offerings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in biological or chemical sciences with experience in a regulated laboratory environment (CLIA/CAP), and ASCP Certification in Molecular Biology.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn new tasks and procedures in appropriate timeframes.
  • Experience in data management, including laboratory information management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate scientific details and respond to custom inquiries.
