Job Title: Assistant Professor - Neurology (Neuromuscular)

Join the University of Kansas Medical Center as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology, Neuromuscular Medicine division. As a staff physician, you will be responsible for assisting in the neurology clinics, hospital rounds, teaching medical students, neurology residents, and fellows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • See patients in the outpatient neurology neuromuscular clinic.
  • On occasion, cover the academic teaching service in the inpatient hospital unit.
  • Supervise neurology residents and fellows, including supervision of trainees in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic.
  • Teach medical students on the inpatient and outpatient services and provide occasional lectures.
  • Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of neuromuscular medicine disease.
  • Other duties as assigned by Department Chair.
Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent to an MD.
  • Eligible for Kansas medical license.
  • Completion of neurology residency training and neuromuscular medicine fellowship training.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills.
