Role Summary

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) Milwaukee Campus is in search of part-time Client Services Representatives to become integral members of our Client Services and Animal Care team. In this role, you will contribute positively to the community by providing essential services and support to animals. You will also gain valuable experience by collaborating with veterinary professionals, behavior specialists, and a dedicated management team. If you are passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of animals and their owners while being part of a committed and supportive team, this position may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental demeanor with all clients, callers, and colleagues.
  • Assist in facilitating animal adoptions through our same-day process.
  • Address client inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Handle register transactions and assist customers with retail products.
  • Welcome animals arriving through owner surrenders, transfers, and end-of-life services.
  • Ensure accurate and objective record-keeping in our animal management software.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively within your department and across other departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Availability to work consistent weekend shifts and rotating holidays.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.
  • Commitment to our core values of compassion, respect, kindness, innovation, professionalism, and equity.
  • Capability to engage with clients, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Skill in managing personal schedules and timecards.
  • Previous experience in client services and animal care is advantageous.
