We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time and PRN contract basis. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the procurement and distribution of drug orders, identifying and filling replacement medications, and preparing sterile products accurately.
Key Responsibilities- Procure and distribute drug orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Identify and fill replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately
- Prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition, accurately
- Deliver medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately
- Rotate stock to ensure use before expiration date
- Pick up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds
- Enter charges and credits for patient medications accurately
- Identify and replace outdated and unusable drugs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a hospital setting
- Current pharmacy technician license in the State of New Mexico
- National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred
- Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course preferred
