Key Responsibilities
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES:
As a Supervisor of Special Security Operations, you will oversee a unit of security personnel during designated shifts, ensuring safety and security within the facility. Your responsibilities will include evaluating the performance of your team, which may consist of both in-house and contracted security staff; preparing and reviewing reports and logs related to security incidents; interpreting and enforcing policies from higher management; providing guidance and training to team members; planning and coordinating staff assignments; responding to emergencies; conducting roll calls; and inspecting officers and their assigned areas. Additionally, you may be required to work in secure environments and assist law enforcement when necessary.
Special Working Conditions: The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical activities may include outdoor work in varying weather conditions, standing or walking for extended periods, driving patrol vehicles, engaging in physical pursuits, and managing potentially volatile situations.
Minimum Qualifications
Eligibility Criteria:
This position is open to current employees who, on the date of testing, hold a permanent competitive appointment or are on a Preferred List for the title of Special Officer. It is also available to those appointed under specific regulations who meet all eligibility requirements.
