About the Role

UMass Memorial Health Care is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Outpatient Behavioral Health Services team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and provide appropriate care interventions.
  • Work closely with therapists, RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to analyze and interpret patient data, and provide recommendations for care.
  • Present patient care cases in court, as required.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited graduate program in psychiatric nursing.
  • Massachusetts licensure as an advanced practice nurse.
  • Board certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Association and recognition to practice in an expanded role by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  • Minimum of three years advanced clinical practice in psychiatric nursing.

They will also demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for working collaboratively with others to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

The Nurse Practitioner will be required to spend a significant amount of time on their feet, walking, and standing. They will also be exposed to infectious diseases and may be required to work rotating shifts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided when necessary.
