Job Title: After School Coordinator

Join our team as an After School Coordinator at Lowell School District 71. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and their families.

Job Summary:

The After School Coordinator will be responsible for managing and assisting in providing care for children enrolled in the After School Education Programs. This includes supervising after school care staff, students, and activities, providing homework assistance, and coordinating site activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities and services of assigned program
  • Maintain effective communication with and provide input to the Elementary School Principal
  • Provide high-level customer service by modeling standards of expected service for program clientele and the community
  • Supervise after school care staff, students, and activities
  • Provide homework assistance to students
  • Coordinate site activities and serve as liaison to the academic lead teachers
  • Facilitate the recreation and enrichment activities at program site
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required
  • Administer first aid as needed
  • Responsible to maintaining on-site security and safety of all students
  • Facilitate the invoicing of parents
  • Provide information to school and district personnel as needed
  • Develop methods to actively recruit and retain students for program services
  • Monitor the efficient use of program resources
Requirements:
  • High School diploma required
  • Experience with children in an instructional and/or supervisory capacity, preferably in a school setting
  • Current training in CPR and first aid required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history check and fingerprint check
