Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care by performing Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography (PET/CT) procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Imaging
    • Perform routine and advanced PET/CT procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury.
    • Screen patients before procedures for any precautions or contraindications.
    • Prepare patients for PET/CT procedures, explaining the process and providing support throughout the procedure.
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
  • Imaging Support
    • Perform general maintenance on PET/CT scanners and mobile scanners and trucks.
    • Perform and record daily quality control procedures on specified equipment to ensure correct and accurate operation.
    • Troubleshoot problems and report them to supervisors.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiography.
  • Licensed technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independently.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual.
  • ARRT certification in CT.
  • NMTCB PET Specialty certification.
