Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital. This is a PRN (as needed) position, working 10:30am-7pm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in minimally invasive/open heart surgery, with a strong commitment to a successful CV OR team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proficient perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
  • Act as a role model and resource for other staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support and Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • 1+ year of experience in minimally invasive/open heart surgery.
