Job Summary

As a Certified Surgical Technologist at Memorial Hermann, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Surgical Technologist in our Ortho OR department.

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 9am-5:30pm, with call required. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist and possess a strong knowledge of perioperative patient care concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proficient perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation
  • Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory
  • Use knowledge and expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
  • Certified in Basic Life Support
  • Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
