We are seeking a driven and skilled Account Executive to join our Local Chemical Distribution team. In this role, you will be tasked with cultivating enduring, value-driven relationships with clients; expanding business opportunities within these accounts while enhancing profitability and minimizing management costs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enhance Univar's standing within each account through consultative and comprehensive selling techniques at all organizational levels. Actively seek new business opportunities by conducting sales outreach to expand your territory. Prioritize customer retention and overall satisfaction. Provide technical support and consultancy services to elevate our value proposition to clients. Maintain an organized and updated overview of your sales pipeline.
Establish pricing and service standards, while coordinating customer quotes or supplying necessary information to local branches for accurate quotations.
Collaborate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure optimal inventory levels. Demonstrate a commitment to safety, both personally and for your colleagues.QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of sales experience is preferred. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical sales is advantageous. A Bachelor's degree (Technical Science or Chemistry preferred but not mandatory). Ability to cultivate a broad network of contacts. Proven competitive spirit.
Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the relationships between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users of chemical products and services.
Excellent listening skills and a problem-solving mindset to identify needs and motivations to address objections and close sales.Effective negotiation abilities that enable Univar to secure appropriate value for its products and services. Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position offers the flexibility of working from home. Candidates residing in the Greater Cincinnati area are preferred.
