Role ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Pharmacist, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the pharmacy staff at the Consolidated Services Center (CSC) and managing the packaging and bar-coding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the SMART, PACMED, and ConnectRX systems to ensure accurate drug distribution.
- Maintain and assess the performance of pharmacy packaging and bar-coding automation technologies.
- Conduct pharmacist checks on packaged and bar-coded medications as needed.
- Provide guidance on the substitution of therapeutic equivalents during shortages.
- Ensure the integrity and security of all pharmaceuticals stored within the CSC.
- Assist in training and certifying personnel involved in pharmaceutical distribution.
- Support the development of pharmacy pickers, customer service representatives, and pharmacy buyers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Experience in acute care pharmacy practice is preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical repackaging and barcoding technology is preferred.
- Experience with hospital system software and automation technology is preferred.
- A current pharmacy license in the appropriate state is required.
