Weekender Flex RN - Med/Surg Opportunity

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit as a Weekender Flex RN. This unique opportunity allows you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week, while enjoying full-time status and benefits.

About the Role

As a Weekender Flex RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients on our 5th Floor Medical-Surgical Unit, which is a 42-bed unit that provides perioperative and postoperative care to medical-surgical and orthopaedic patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans
  • Monitoring, recording, documenting, and communicating patients' conditions
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments, and noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
  • Assessing and coordinating patients' discharge needs, and educating patients and their families
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience (will consider military RN experience)
