Mental Health Specialist

The COMHAR, Inc. team is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our Intensive Behavioral Health Services program in Easton, PA. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support and care to individuals with serious mental illness and a history of involvement with the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct services to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene and daily living skills, as well as support with maintaining a therapeutic community and residence.
- Conduct activities with residents, including educational, social, and leisure programs, and encourage resident input and suggestions in the planning process.
- Document progress notes and residential logs, and report any resident crises or unusual incidents to the Shift Supervisor.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions, including Quality Improvement Program and multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings.
- AA in human services or related field, plus 2 years of experience in mental health or related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of experience in mental health or related field.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous experience working with individuals involved with the criminal justice system and those with substance use disorders.
- Competitive hourly rate of $18.00.
