Overview of the Role

As the Facilities Operations Supervisor at ENGIE, you will oversee and manage the comprehensive upkeep of our central utility systems, including Steam, Chilled Water, and Combined Heat & Power facilities. Your leadership will ensure that all campus facilities operate efficiently and are maintained to the highest standards. You will be responsible for guiding, mentoring, and supervising a skilled team of maintenance professionals. This position involves participating in the review and implementation of capital projects from an operational and maintenance viewpoint. You will assess both immediate and future maintenance requirements and contribute to the development of capital projects, reporting directly to the Director of Energy Delivery.

Key Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience with steam or natural gas turbines is essential
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Maximo CMMS for maintenance work orders and equipment tracking
  • Knowledge of compliance with regulatory agencies (PUCO, OEPA, OSHA)
  • Ability to lead maintenance teams in the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of utility plants producing steam, chilled water, heating hot water, compressed air, treated water, and electricity
  • Expertise in developing and refining preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Management of spare parts inventory and record-keeping systems
  • Experience in overseeing maintenance service contracts
  • Capability to analyze equipment inspections and failures, formulating repair and replacement strategies for existing plant machinery
  • Competence in reviewing plans and specifications for capital projects, ensuring the constructability and maintainability of new installations, and inspecting utility system projects for compliance with design standards
  • Ability to contribute to departmental budgeting processes and spending plans, including preparing, reviewing, and controlling budgets for the mechanical maintenance team
  • Input on capital planning for utility plants, supporting system planning, and recommending future improvements and repairs for steam, power generation, chilled water, natural gas, and heating hot water systems
  • Responsible for the development and evaluation of direct and indirect reports, including conducting annual performance reviews
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
Additional Information
  • This position requires daily onsite attendance;
  • Domestic travel may be required up to 5%
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is necessary, as you will operate a company vehicle
  • Compliance with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies is mandatory;
  • This role includes 10% outdoor work, exposing the employee to various weather conditions
  • Availability for 24-hour on-call duties is expected
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $116,200 - $172,500 USD annually

This range reflects the average expected pay for qualified candidates. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, and internal pay alignment.
