Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Director to join our team at the YMCA of Central Ohio. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement facility maintenance plans and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
  • Direct and supervise a team of maintenance staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular building inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including logs, records, and compliance reports.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and seven years of related experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, safety measures, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and work ticket management.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work at various locations.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
YMCA Team Leader Certification

The YMCA Team Leader certification requires completion of a series of courses, including Principles and Practices, Introduction to Volunteerism, and Leadership Competency Assessment. This certification is highly valued and demonstrates a commitment to leadership and community service.
