Overview

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled clinician to join our team as a Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Coordinator. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in coordinating care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care across the continuum for BMT patients and families, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with BMT physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Act as a resource and educator for patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing expert guidance on BMT-related topics.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare providers, to ensure timely and informed decision-making.
  • Manage and coordinate the BMT plan, including obtaining insurance authorization and coordinating clinical and financial plans.
  • Organize and facilitate continued care after consultation, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree in nursing preferred.
  • State of Georgia nursing license required.
  • Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification or obtain within 1 year of employment.
  • BMTCTN/OCN or obtain within 2 years of employment.
  • Demonstrated experience in oncology nursing for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Case management experience preferred.
  • Bone marrow transplant experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting for at least 1 year.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
