Job Title: Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care across the continuum, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes for our patients and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient care across the continuum, including pre-transplant, transplant, and post-transplant phases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Manage patient schedules, coordinate appointments, and ensure timely completion of necessary procedures and tests.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their concerns and needs throughout the transplant process.
  • Assess patient eligibility for bone marrow transplant protocols and facilitate the evaluation process.
  • Compile and analyze data to inform care decisions and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current state of Georgia nursing license required.
  • Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification or obtain within 1 year of employment preferred.
  • BMTCTN/OCN certification or obtain within 2 years of employment preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology nursing, with a focus on bone marrow transplant care.
  • Case management experience preferred.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
