Caregiver for Adults with Developmental Disabilities

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a caregiver for adults with developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients to live independently in their homes and communities, socially thrive, and develop a sense of inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct behavioral, cognitive, and emotional intervention to further the independence of the client in the home and community
  • Ensure the safety of the client and model appropriate social interaction skills
  • Transport individuals to and from designated intervention sites
  • Keep appropriate documentation of shift activities and report any problems to management as soon as possible after occurrence or when discovered
Requirements:
  • At least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Genuine compassion for individuals with developmental disabilities
Working Conditions:

Services are provided to clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As such, working conditions vary and involve the ability to adapt in a variety of environments that include business, home, community, and office. Shifts are scheduled in 8-hour increments and may require local travel.
