Caregiver for Adults with Developmental Disabilities

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a caregiver for adults with developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients to live independently in their homes and communities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized support and services tailored to the needs of each client, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct behavioral, cognitive, and emotional intervention to further the independence of the client in the home and community
- Ensure the safety of the client and model appropriate social interaction skills
- Transport individuals to and from designated intervention sites
- Keep accurate documentation of shift activities and report any problems to management as soon as possible after occurrence or when discovered
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Genuine compassion for individuals with developmental disabilities
Services are provided to clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As such, working conditions vary and involve the ability to adapt in a variety of environments that include business, home, community, and office. Shifts are scheduled in 8-hour increments and may require local travel. Part-time positions are available; however, employees must be able to work the standard 8-hour shift.
