Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Admissions Coordinator to join our team at Maple Heights Behavioral Health. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for facilitating the admissions process for incoming patients, ensuring a seamless transition into our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admissions and Assessment: Facilitate the admissions process for incoming patients, including conducting assessments and gathering necessary documentation.
  • Communication and Coordination: Respond to inquiries from patients and their families, schedule pre-admission assessments, and communicate recommendations to ensure a smooth transition into our care.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with our multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure accurate and timely admissions, and coordinate with other facility medical and psychiatric personnel as needed.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure all medical admission documentation is gathered from external sources prior to patient admission and secure initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission.
  • Insurance and Benefits: Perform insurance benefit verifications, disseminating the information gathered to patients, their families, and other appropriate facility staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related field; minimum one year experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Licensure, as required for the area of clinical specialty, i.e., RN license, CAC or other clinical counseling or therapy license, as designated by the state in which the facility operates.
