Peckham Industries is a family-run business with a rich history dating back to 1924. We pride ourselves on our commitment to serving our communities through the provision of high-quality construction materials, products, and services.
Our extensive network of hot mix asphalt and ready-mix concrete plants, quarries, and liquid asphalt terminals enables us to deliver custom solutions to thousands of road construction and maintenance customers. In addition, our construction operations include paving and road reclamation services, as well as precast/prestressed concrete production and erection of multi-level parking structures, specialty buildings, and bridge components.
Job SummaryThe Graduate Leadership Development Program is a two-year curriculum designed to rotate every 6-8 months in each major functional track of Materials Management. This program is designed to foster future leaders by developing decision-making, communication, and technical skills through personal mentorship and hands-on learning.
Program Learnings- Protect Family and Friends through employee engagement, prioritizing zero incidents, and complying with all company and federal safety policies and procedures.

- Transparency and Learning - Leadership skills must include an eagerness to learn from colleagues, development of mastery within the team while acting with humility, and applying learning opportunities to ensure reliable, quality-driven plant operations.
- At minimum, an Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or an applicable field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must have a GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Well-organized and efficient in time management.
- Proficient user of Microsoft products, e.g., Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-organized with problem-solving and adaptability skills.
- High degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to details.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.

TravelPosition may require travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York and New England based on the needs of the business.
Work Environment/Physical DemandsMedium Work: May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Job involves sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and bending for brief periods of time in all types of weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/visitors. This position is also occasionally set in a professional work environment.
