Position Overview:
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the MICU is responsible for the comprehensive practice of nursing, which encompasses the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with complex health conditions. This role requires collaboration with a licensed physician to ensure high-quality care is delivered in accordance with established protocols and agreements.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a current New York State registration as a Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, along with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in critical care as either an RN or NP is preferred. Additionally, candidates must obtain national certification in their specialty area (Adult/Family) within six months of employment.
Employment Status: Full Time
Work Schedule: Evening shifts from 2 PM to 12 AM
Compensation:
The hourly wage ranges from $61.31 to $77.09, contingent upon the candidate's experience, qualifications, and adherence to internal equity and collective bargaining agreements.
Position Grade: R5A
Work Hours: 75 bi-weekly hours
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Availability for weekend and holiday shifts is necessary.
