Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales and Engineering teams to assess customer needs and propose optimal EV battery solutions tailored to their specific applications.
  • Offer technical assistance to clients during the integration phase, ensuring the effective application of our battery technologies in their EV projects.
  • Evaluate customer testing outcomes and communicate findings to internal engineering and management teams as necessary.
  • Create and present technical training sessions to inform customers about our EV battery products, their functionalities, and recommended practices.
  • Examine customer feedback and data to uncover trends and identify opportunities for product enhancements and application advancements.
  • Establish strong relationships with customer engineering teams to understand potential challenges or technological gaps.
  • Contribute to the creation of application notes, white papers, and other technical documentation to address customer requirements.
  • Remain informed about the latest developments in EV battery technology, industry regulations, and competitive landscape.
  • Travel to customer locations for technical support, application demonstrations, and training sessions, which may comprise 35%-50% of your time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical capacity related to battery technology, power electronics, or electric vehicles (EVs) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cycle life, discharge rates, capacity evaluation, internal impedance, etc.
  • Experience with high energy density technologies, particularly lithium metal anodes, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with pack design specific to high energy density applications.
  • Understanding of cell and pack qualification/certification processes and requirements.
  • Strong grasp of lithium-ion battery principles, including manufacturing, operation, and safety considerations.
  • Experience with battery management systems (BMS) and battery modeling/testing is essential.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) is preferred.
