Job Overview

Solar Gain, Inc is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our solar photovoltaic (PV) system installation team, you will be responsible for installing electrical components on commercial and residential rooftops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical specifications, drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
  • Collaborate with field supervisors to plan and execute projects, updating CRM status as needed.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit cable.
  • Test systems for electrical compatibility and safety, observing circuit continuity.
  • Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Enforce NEC local codes and stay current on industry changes.
  • Maintain company-owned tools, vehicles, and materials in excellent condition.
Requirements
  • Professional appearance and a clean driving record with a valid driver's license.
  • 4-5+ years of electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
  • Ability to work from various heights via ladders and other safe platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret one-line drawings and electrical schematics.
  • A working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Uniform Building Code (UBC), and local & utility jurisdiction requirements.
